10 Quick and Easy Link Building Tips
It is no secret. The more links you can obtain, the higher your site will rank in Google, Yahoo, and MSN. Not all website owners, however, are aware of how many ways there are to obtain links.
Here are my favorites.
1. Submit your site to directories. There are well over 1,000. Some require a reciprocal link or payment, but most are free.
2. Submit to classified ad websites. Many are free.
3. Request link exchanges with other webmasters. This takes persistence, but is worth it if you have a reasonable success rate.
4. Do some podcasting.
5. Make a few simple videos and submit them.
6. Try utilizing social bookmark and other social websites.
7. Utilize press releases. Several services are available to assist you, some at no cost.
8. Start blogging and link from your blog to your website (and vice versa).
9. Write articles on subjects of interest to your potential visitors and submit them to article distribution sites. Include a a link to your website in the author’s box.
10. Post on forums and comment on blog sites. Caution; do not spam.
Of course, you do not have to engage in all of the activities above. Just pick a few and be persistent; if you do, you will be rewarded.
